Kerrigan McCulloch
My Experience
While attending school full time, I've managed to accrue 4 years of experience in different positions. These positions have built and shaped my skillsets in a beneficial way including customer communications, client relationship management, and maintaining a positive brand. Whether working on academic or professional projects, I apply proven communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills that I believe will benefit your company in a positive way.
Madison Social
While working at Madison Social as a server, I've learned and demonstrated interpersonal and team building skills. I've been able to build relationships with a diverse range of customers, managers, and colleagues. This position has taught me to anticipate, identify, and fulfill customer needs in a fast paced environment while maintaining a calm composure.
When I got this position as a server, I had never had any serving experience. The reason the manager gave me a chance was due to a friend I met at an internship the summer before. This restaurant is easily one of the most popular bar/restaurants in Tallahassee so I was extremely nervous. I proved myself by working hard and staying focused and forcing myself to learn the ins-and-outs of the restaurant. I immediately starting working football games after I was told I wouldn't be able to, and have the some of the highest sales on a day to day basis.
Viewpost
With my position as a Sales Intern at Viewpost, I helped them enroll over 2000 vendors in their Virtual Card Program. As a result, they added over $100 million in potential spend to their card program. I had to maintain and organize client database in an effective manner to ensure success. I was able to train new hires on software and phone systems and was granted the opportunity to sit in on IT management meetings.
This was the first position I've had that was in an office and not around other people my age. I had never done anything with sales before so this was all new to me. I knew I needed to prove myself because I was the youngest one there and I wanted to start networking. Within the first week, I was competing in numbers with permanent employees that had been there for years. Because of this, I now have opportunities after graduation with this company and my employers were more than willing to send my resume out to other companies that they have connections with.
The Woodlands on West Tennessee
As a Leasing Agent for The Woodlands, I leased apartments and toured the property to students and their parents, applications and financial documents had to processed and verified in a timely manner. I initiated blitz marketing and corporate outreach efforts and increased resident retention by attending property sponsored events. It was also one of my responsibilities to accept market-ready units from maintenance staff after careful inspection.
Just as the other positions I've listed, I started this job with no experience and really no idea how to be a Leasing Agent. I assumed I would sit at the front desk and answer phones all day, however I realized it was much more than that. I had to learn multiple online systems and make sure all documents were filled out and input perfectly. I struggled with this originally because I didn't want to mess anything up, however once I became more comfortable I signed a great deal of leases and end up having some of the highest numbers. This job was truly a learning experience and allowed me to understand that I need to work hard if I want to show positive numbers.
Letter of Recommendation
"Kerrigan reported directly to me during her tenure as a Sales Intern at Viewpost. She displayed a high level of commitment and a tenacious pursuit of excellence day-to-day. Her sales results positively impacted the organization and were often on par with more tenured sales representatives. I expect great things from Kerrigan as she progresses forward in her career."
